Our village of Villanueva del Trabuco is quite famous for it’s spectacular annual fiesta in September.
For around 5 days, always including the 15th , the village passionately follows old traditions and really knows how to party! One one of the days, there is a fancy dress competition that it seems the whole village takes part in, you have never seen so many people dressed up, people come from miles around to witness the spectacle. The procession to take flowers to the church is stunning, with 100’s of women in colourful fiesta dresses and horses and horse drawn carriages. Every evening there is dancing in the plaza too and so many different events, it is impossible to mention them all.
Come and enjoy a relaxing holiday at Cortijo Los Lobos, the autumn weather is perfect, the pool is heated and the cooler morning temperatures are the best for country walks or sight seeing.
